FROM next Monday, your Bolton Evening News is changing its name.

It will be known simply as The Bolton News.

This is because we are now making your favourite newspaper available throughout the day.

You can buy it and read it at a time to suit you.

The Bolton Evening News has a proud history and was one of the first evening papers in the country when it was launched in 1867.

Since then it has provided a quality news, sport and information service to generations of Bolton families. It is part of the fabric of the town.

However, reading and buying habits have changed.

People lead busy and diverse lives and there is an enormous amount of competition for their time.

Readers want the information when it suits them, whether they want to catch up on the local news, are looking for a job, a house or a car, or simply want to check the cinema times.

It will still be a bright and lively daily newspaper packed with exclusive stories about your community.

And it will still be the essential read it always has been, whether you want to know what's going on at the Town Hall, Bolton Wanderers, your child's school, or down your street.

Remember, it's only the name that's changing. Make sure you get your copy.

Due to the change of name of the Bolton Evening News to The Bolton News from Monday this website address will change to www.theboltonnews.co.uk on Monday morning, but readers who have bookmarked the current URL (address) will be automatically re-directed to the new site.
