ONLINE parcel delivery service Parcel2Go.com has been rated as one of the country’s top 100 privately owned technology companies.

It is owned by entrepreneur Fil Adams- Mercer, who built the company up from nothing.

Now, the rapidly expanding firm will be featured in this week’s annual Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track Top 100 league table at number 89.

Mr Adams-Mercer has also appeared on TV in The Secret Millionaire, where he donated thousands of pounds to charities in Yorkshire.

Parcel2Go.com has seen sales soar by almost 40 per cent over the past three years, has an annual turnover of almost £17 million and employs 46 people.

Published this weekend, the 11th annual Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 league table ranks Britain’s 100 privately owned technology, media and telecoms (TMT) companies with the fastest-growing sales over the past three years.

There are eight companies headquartered in the North West on the Tech Track 100 — compared to six last year.

The Tech Track 100 is sponsored by Microsoft, Barclays Corporate and BDO. It is compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based networking events and research company.

The full findings are published in The Sunday Times this weekend.
