FOUR men have been charged after a man was kidnapped from his home in Chorley.

The men, all in their early twenties, have been charged with kidnap, false imprisonment, assault, and theft of a vehicle.

They are: Forbes Edwards, of no fixed address, Dwayne Devaney, of Cotter Street, Manchester, Damien Noonan, of no fixed address, and Abdul Khan, of Randale Drive, Bury.

All four are due to appear before Preston Magistrates on Monday, October 24.

The charges relate to an incident on Friday evening when a man was bundled into the back of a Nissan Qashqai.

He was beaten up before being taken to Bury where he was discovered in the car by police in Brook Lane, Bury.

There was a large police scene in the area for 24 hours and Hollins Lane was closed whilst police investigated.

The victim remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
