NO matter how much we all love football, it is at times like these things are well and truly put into perspective.

I am still struggling to comprehend what I witnessed at White Hart Lane on Saturday, but it is something that will stay with me forever.

The stadium was stunned into submission — the atmosphere was one which I hope will never grace a football ground ever again.

Nobody knew what was going on — when we saw him lying on the ground, we all assumed, as anybody would, he had been injured.

Nothing could prepare us for what we were to see next.

The panic and shock on the faces of those on the pitch instantly told us something really was not right, and every supporter inside the stadium started to scream Fabrice’s name, willing him to pull through. Players and fans from both sides, myself included, burst into tears at the sight of a young man fighting for his life in front of the world.

I cannot explain the emotions that were going through my head — everything was and still is a complete blur.

One thing I must do is thank Spurs as a club and their supporters for their reaction.
