A MOTHER is appealing for sentimental items taken during a burglary to be returned.

Thieves targeted Anna Norbury’s home in Albert Street, Kearsley , in the early hours of Monday morning.

They stole the family’s blue Mazda, a black Nikon Coolpix S620 camera, which contained more than 500 photographs of Miss Norbury’s three-year-old son, as well as spare car keys for the car and a pink handbag with frills, which contained a cobalt coloured Fiorelli purse containing bank cards and a driving licence.

Miss Norbury, her partner, Danny Lovatt, and their threeyear- old son were asleep upstairs when the burglary took place.

The 31-year-old discovered the theft when she went downstairs at 7.20am on Tuesday.

She said: “I am not concerned about the camera being returned, but the memory cards contains around 500 photos taken over the last three years of my little boy, holidays and from Christmas. There are also photos of my grandma, who died last year, and Danny’s dad, who died in 2010, and these photos can’t be replaced.

“It is so upsetting for us to have lost them.” The car was retrieved shortly after the incident was reported in a car park off Lentworth Drive in Walkden . Anyone who finds any of the items or the camera’s memory card, call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
