BOXING hero Amir Khan has spurred on a five-year-old with his recovery from an operation.
Adam Oomer, from Morris Green, was invited to Amir Khan’s Gloves gym in Prince Street, Halliwell , along with his brothers Zayan, aged six, and Yousuf, aged three, last month.
Heathfield Primary School pupil Adam is on the road to recovery after undergoing two operations in America to help him walk without the aid of a frame. Amir has previously helped with the fundraising for Adam’s operation by donating gloves for an auction.
The boxing champion was unable to attend during Adam’s visit but left a boxing set for him, including gloves and a punch bag, and allowed him and his brothers to have a tour around and play in the boxing ring.
Adams now able to walk flat footed and can walk further without needing his frame or wheelchair.
