POSTAL deliveries in Bolton are among some of the best in the country.
Royal Mail has released delivery figures for the town for between April and June which show 93.8 per cent of first class mail was delivered the day after it was posted. This is above the national target of 93 per cent.
Tony Baxter, Royal Mail Delivery Director for Bolton, said: “We are extremely pleased that we are delivering a high quality service for our customers. It’s down to our local postmen and women, out on their routes six days a week, who are determined to deliver the best possible service to our customers.”
The best first class delivery results were in Perth, Scotland, where a 97 per cent performance was achieved.

Bank statements, gas bills, electric bills, council tax, phone bills, council tax documents, car insurance letters from solicitors and pension companies, credit card statements. Now the vast majority of that is by internet or email.
THAT IS PROGRESS.
The vast majority of what i get now is adverts or junkmail.
