A CHILDREN’S charity in Bolton has been nominated for an entertainment award for its annual fundraising extravaganza.
The charity, Wipe Your Tears, has been shortlisted in The Best Evening Entertainment Award at the What’s on 4 Me 2012 Awards.
The “Tear Drop Ball” was nominated for its auction, champagne reception, raffle prizes, three course meal and entertainment.
Voting is open until September 26, and charity organisers are urging people in Bolton to get behind them.
Damian McCoy, of Wipe Your Tears, said: “The exposure that winning any award can have on the charity is a great one and really helps us reach a larger audience, and ultimately puts us in a position where we can help more seriously and terminally ill children throughout the UK.”
