Ban for drink-driver

A DRINK-driver has been ordered off the road for 12 months after admitting an offence.
Ian Anthony Joyce, aged 38, of Daffodil Road, Farnworth, appeared before Bolton magistrates and admitted driving a Toyota HiAce car on the East Lancashire Road near Swinton on August 5 while over the alcohol limit.
He was fined £180 and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
His ban will be reduced by three months if he completes a driving awareness course.
