BUDDING actors from Bolton are wanted to tread the boards in a play at The Lowry.

Casting director Lauren Warwick, who runs Bravo Drama Academy in Radcliffe, is working with author and director Karen Woods on a play called Broken Youth.

It tells the story of a family living on the breadline and trying to make ends meet.

The play is described as a “rollercoaster of emotions” with plenty of humour.

The pair are looking for men and women aged 16 to 45 to appear in the play on Saturday, June 29, next year.

They want “raw and gritty” actors who can speak in a Mancunian accent and they do not need to have acting experience.

Auditions will be held at noon on Sunday, September 16, at Ducie Bridge in Corporation Street, Manchester.
