A BIG band are set to host a free night of music in Bolton.
The Managers, a 19-piece big band, are holding the event to celebrate the launch of their first self-titled, 12-track album.
The band have been playing big band and jazz music all over the North West since late 2006.
Musical director Ben Shepherd, who lives in Astley Bridge , said: “There aren’t many big band gigs around Bolton, so it’s a good opportunity for anyone who is into jazz and swing to come and have a listen.”
The young band plays the music of Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Duke Ellington, Maynard Ferguson, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Bette Midler and Betty Hutton.
They rehearse at Bolton Ukrainian Club, Castle Street, where the event will be held on Saturday at 8.30pm.
