THE teenager previously branded as a “blight on society” is back behind bars after admitting an attempted robbery.
Jason Wilding, aged 18, has been jailed for three years for attempting to steal a mobile phone in Bolton on August 12.
He committed the offence while he was subject to a curfew.
Last September, Wilding was sentenced to 12 months in a detention centre for robbery, after he attacked and robbed a 15-year-old boy.
He breached his curfew by being away from his home in Tavistock Road, Bolton, for one hour and 34 minutes.
Wilding has a catalogue of previous convictions dating back to 2007.
It includes disorderly behaviour, thefts, criminal damage, theft from a motor vehicle, theft from a person, intimidating witnesses, handling stolen goods, common assault, threatening behaviour, possession of a bladed article and he has had an ASBO.
He was sentenced by Judge Timothy Clayson at Bolton Crown Court, who described his record as “appalling”.
