POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 17-year-old was the victim of an attempted mugging in Worsley Woods.
He was approached by a man who asked whether he had a cigarette. When he said no, the man asked him whether he had been mugged.
The victim said no before the thief said: “Well you are about to” and appeared to reach into his pocket.
The teenager ran off before any property was stolen.
