Woman taken to hospital after crash
A woman was taken to hospital with suspected neck injuries after a two car crash.
A lorry collided with a Hyundai car at the junction of Egerton Street and Cawdor Street in Farnworth at around 3.20pm.
The female driver of the car suffered suspected neck injuries, and was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital for precautionary checks.
Two fire engines from Farnworth station helped to remove the female out of the car using hydraulic tools, and she was placed on a spine board.
The road was closed by police for around 20 minutes, and the male driver of the HGV was unharmed.
