One age-old autumn tradition is alive and “conk”-ing.
Twins Edward and Elosie Taylor enjoyed a spot of conker hunting during a walk in Bolton’s Queens Park.
Accompanied by their grandparents, Pam and Bob Smith, the three-year-olds grabbed handfuls of the horse chestnuts from the ground.
Traditionally, they have been used for conker-fighting, which dates back to the mid-1850s.
