Road closed after lorry crashes and overturns in Bolton
A DRIVER escaped unhurt after his lorry crashed, forcing a road to close.
The man was driving a skip loader wagon along Croasdale Street, Bolton, near B&Q, at 11am today when it fell onto its side, dumping rubbish onto a grass bank.
The driver was able to free himself through the windscreen and a police spokesman said he was not injured.
Police closed the road amid fears that oil had spilled and they alerted Highways Agency staff to manage traffic flow.
The lorry belongs to J Doyle skip hire, which is based at the Gaskell Street Works.
A spokesman for the firm was unavailable.
