The Harper Green School class of 1961 enjoying the reunion
FORMER high school classmates met each other for the first time in half a century.
The Harper Green School classes of 1961 and 1965 were reunited at Hawkers Social Club in Gladstone Road, Farnworth.
The event, which featured a DJ and disco, was attended by more than 80 people.
Margaret Gilmore, who was in the school’s class of 1961, said: “It was really nice to see some of my old classmates again.
"Fifty years is a long time and some of us didn’t recognise each other.
“Everybody was saying what a great time they had and I was really pleased with how it went.”
