WANDERERS' tea-time cup clash at Anfield tomorrow will be watched by millions across the country on TV - so we've rounded up some of the borough’s top viewing spots for Whites fans not making the trip to Merseyside.

1. Hogarth’s, Churchgate, town centre

The recently renovated town-centre spots hotspot boasts an impressive 18 television screens as well as two huge 5m by 4m screens, so fans won’t have a problem getting a good view when Heskey nods a late winner. We hope.

Landlady Jo Taylor said: “The last time the Whites were on TV was huge for us so we are expecting a big turnout.

“We have loads of screens and lots of lovely drinks and I’m sure the atmosphere will be great.”

2. Elephant and Castle, Deansgate, town centre

Another town centre establishment known for showing live sport, the E and C has two huge screens as well as eight 50-inch plasma televisions and is famous for great matchday atmosphere.

The large spacious main room is often packed with passionate fans and tomorrow should be the same.

The Bolton News:

Assistant manager Hayley Liversidge said: “I think the place will be buzzing for the match and even more so if Bolton can get a win. Fingers crossed.”

3. Doffcocker, Chorley Old Road

Landlady Sharon McCann is the niece of Wanderers legend Tommy Banks, so she has always had white blood.

The pub will be showing the tea-time tie on its three large screens with plenty of space for nervous fans to cower in if it goes right to the wire.

Mrs McCann said: “We are very exicted to show the game. My husband is actually a Manchester United fan but we both really want to beat Liverpool.”

4. The Beehive, Chorley New Road

Hoards of supporters often cram into this boozer en route to home games at the Macron and the pub is expecting many who couldn’t get a ticket for Anfield to pack in tomorrow.

Manager Grant Pinchem said: “We will be expecting a fair few in for the match.

“I am new to the pub and so I’m looking forward to the atmosphere — our regulars aren’t particularly confident but you never know.”

5. The House Without a Name, Lea Gate, Harwood

The No Name has three HD TVs with all channels in HD, manager Jon Nolan boasts, unlike some other multi-screen pubs that don't use proper HDMI cables.

Jon says: "As our pub is small, the atmosphere is great. Corned Beef Hash available at half time. Quality real ales from £2.50. Come on you Whites!"

He's backing Heskey to score first and Bolton to win 2-1.

7. Gilnow Arms, Deane Road, Deane

8. Oddfellows Arms, St Helen's Road, Daubhill

9. The Vulcan Inn, Junction Road, Deane

Numbers 6, 7, 8 and 9 are recommended by one of our readers, who describes them as "proper Wanderers supporters' pubs".

He says: "Not these poncey stuck-up wine bar rubbish full of hipsters with beards.

"I dare one of your reporters to go sit in one of these places with real Bolton people.

"Better atmosphere and laugh and yes friendlier community."

Or words to that effect, anyway.

The Bolton News:

10. Brindley Arms, Whittle Street, Walkden

Reader brindley wanderer says this is the best Wanderers pub outside Bolton. We'll take his word for it.

It has one large screen, three other TVs, free half time food and reduced drink prices during the game.

And it's full of Wanderers memorabilia, Gary Norbury says.

The Bolton News:

11. The Bay Horse, Lee Lane, Horwich

What better place to watch the game than in a pub owned by Wanderers legend John McGinlay.

He'll be there watching the game himself.

For anyone who's been in a monastery for the last 22 years, McGinlay scored the first goal in Wanderers' famous 2-0 "white hot" victory over Liverpool in 1993.
