KEARSLEY Mount Methodist Church is inviting residents to transform their Lenten cross into a tree of life.
Throughout Lent St Stephen's Kearsley Moor CE Primary School children have been visiting the cross and decorating it with symbols for a Lenten project.
The cross is now complete with symbols such as silver coins, a purple cloth, a crown of thorns and three large nails.
The cross will now make its final transformation into the tree of life — which will see it covered in predominantly white and yellow flowers depicting new life.
The community is invited from 10.30am on Easter Sunday to place flowers on the cross.
