SEVERE gales are expected to continue to batter Bolton as the day goes on.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds, and has warned the public that this may cause damage to buildings and disruption on the roads.
It is also expected to be chilly, with temperatures reaching a high of 6°C, with sunny intervals and scattered showers throughout the day.
The winds are only expected to gradually ease overnight, with further gales expected.
