AN eight-year-old boy was found wandering through Manchester at midnight on his way to his grandmother's home in Bolton.
A bus driver alerted police at about 11.30pm after the boy had got off a bus at Shudehill station.
Police said the boy had travelled into the city centre from the Moston area.
They eventually caught up with him at Victoria station.
The boy was then returned home before completing his planned 18-mile journey.
GMP City Centre tweeted: "After many calls to child running round Shudehill at Midnight, 8 yr old boy found on bus Victoria Station, trying to get to Gran's in Bolton."
