A WOMAN has been hit by a car in Horwich.
The 35-year-old was walking along Chorley New Road, close to Bolton Golf Club, when she was hit by a yellow Volkswagen Fox at 7.55am on Wednesday.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene and closed Chorley New Road, Horwich, in both directions between the Beehive Roundabout and Lostock Park Drive.
Police said the woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries and that she was conscious and breathing.

The road closure caused a big build up of traffic in the area during the rush hour.
A police spokesman said: "The road reopened at 8.45am."
