AN underwater police search unit has been seen in Bolton looking for a missing man.
The unit was seen at the fishing lodge, off Old Road and Hillview Road, behind HSBC bank, in Astley Bridge, close to Asda.
Greater Manchester Police were unable to say who the officers were looking for.
Officers said the man’s phone had been traced to the scene.
One onlooker said: “The police van said it was from the Welsh Underwater Marine Unit. They were dredging the lodge across the road from Asda.”
It is understood the search team may be returning to the lodge tomorrow to continue its search.
