SUPPORTERS of Jeremy Corbyn stormed a meeting of Bolton Council this evening and called on Labour councillors to support the under-fire leader.
More than 10 demonstrators entered the public gallery of the council chamber and loudly chanted "Labour party members, support Jeremy Corbyn" several times.
Members of the group aimed comments at the Labour group, who they have perceived as lacking support for Mr Corbyn.
One shouted "we voted you in and we can get rid of you as well", while another shouted "Tory lovers."
After about five minutes, security guards escorted the group out of the council chamber and the meeting was able to continue.
Mr Corbyn is under pressure from his own MPs, with scores of them resigning from his shadow cabinet in recent days.
