THE full cast has been revealed for the Royal Exchange Theatre’s production of A Streetcar Named Desire.
Westhoughton-born actress Maxine Peake has already been announced in the lead role of Blanche DuBois in the Tennessee Williams’ Pulitzer-Prize winning play.
She will joined by Ben Batt who plays the hot headed Stanley Kowalski. Ben will be returning to the Manchester theatre after playing Orlando in Shakespeare’s As You Like It.
The cast also includes Michelle Butterly, Sandra Cole, Etta Fusi, Reuben Johnson, Youssef Kerkour, Reece Noi and Ryan Pope.
Maxine, an associate artist at the Royal Exchange, plays a woman, who, battling addiction, goes to stay with her sister, played by Sharon Duncan-Brewster and her husband.
