THE Bolton arm of the Yorkshire Bank will stay in town despite branches closing around the UK.
Yorkshire Bank is to shut 39 of its branches between April and June this year.
Parent Company CYBG PLC confirm that the Bolton premises based in Oxford Street would not be closed.
Two branches in Greater Manchester have been affected, Chadderton in Oldham and Leigh in Wigan will be closed by the end of May.
CYBG said it was reducing its network as part of a strategy to create an integrated digital, mobile, telephone and branch service.
It added that since 2011, the number of customers using a bank for day-to-day transactions across the banking industry in the UK has fallen by a third.
Th Oxford Street branch was opened in January 2015 and replaced the former branch in Bradshawgate.
It was part of a £45 million UK-wide investment programme to upgrade facilities.
