A MAN who was seen being ‘attacked and pushed into the back of a car’ was with his friends and ‘not in real danger’, police have said.
Officers were appealing for information after a witness reported three men attacking and then ushering a man into a small white car in Lenora Street, on Wednesday at around 10.20pm.
The car then drove away at speed towards Deane Church Lane.
Officers have now spoken to the man and established that there is no cause for concern.
Detective Sergeant Pat Wood of GMP’s Bolton borough said: “A witness reported a genuine concern to us and we launched an investigation, as we were concerned for the man’s safety.
“After speaking to the man it seems he was with his friends and not in real danger, but I would always encourage people to contact police if they have serious concerns about someone’s welfare.”
