A PRIMARY school's end of year production was a roaring success.
Walmsley Primary School staged The Lion King over three nights.
A total of 127 pupils in Key Stage Two trod the boards at Walmsley Parish Theatre in Egerton.
Kat Worsley, teacher and school production lead, said: "The children have done amazingly well to learn the African words — Xhosa, Zulu and Swahili — for singing.
"We've had a team of helpers to teach dance, singing and acting.
"They've worked so very hard from January when we had our auditions. We have a professional team for lighting and sound, and all 127 children will have face paint to help them 'get into character'."
She added: "To produce the show, I worked with Dawn Hitchen who co-ordinates the music side of the show, and we have brilliant support from our headteacher, Debra Carr.
"I work with a fantastic team of staff and parents who help in so many ways — including making costumes and props, painting set and supervising at our huge rehearsals."
"As a teacher, I am immensely proud of every single one of my cast and my Year Six stage crew."
