A NISSAN hit a stationary Citroen in Heaton this evening.

The grey Nissan collided with the black Citroen in Harrow Road, near to the junction with Somerset Road.

Police officers and the ambulance service attended the incident at 5.40pm, officers at the scene described it as a 'damage only' crash and said one man was being checked over in the ambulance.

A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers attended and found a 38-year-old man in a grey Nissan estate had collided with parked cars.

"He was taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing."
