A ROAD was closed after a car ended up on its roof following a crash.
Chorley New Road was blocked and closed outside Bolton School after the collision at around 10.15am today.
Police were called to the crash involving a white Kia Sportage and a red Volkswagen Golf.
One of the cars was its roof and police were forced to close the road around the area while they cleared the debris and recovered the vehicles.
A police spokesman said that everyone is reported to be out of the vehicles and uninjured.
The crash took place towards Horwich and 575 buses were forced to divert down Chorley Old Road, ahead until Moss Bank roundabout, left onto Moss Bank Way and onto Stapleton Avenue.
The road had re-opened by around 11.15am and traffic was reported to be flowing normally by around 11.30am.
Bolton Council has been informed.
