A NEWBORN baby and wide grin have won acclaim for Bolton's medical photographers.
Two of Bolton NHS Foundation Trust's snappers have received Bronze awards from the Institute of Medical Illustrators (IMI) annual conference.
The IMI sets and maintains standards for the medical illustration profession, bringing together the disciplines of clinical photography, medical art, illustration, graphic design and video within healthcare.
Each year members hold a photographic competition, which this year saw Vicki Small – with her image Little Ray of Sunshine of a baby on Royal Bolton Hospital neo-natal unit under a UV light – and Ieuan Flowers – with his image of a patient’s teeth with a condition called bone exostosis – bringing back awards.
