AMIR Khan was flushed with pride after overcoming his fears to triumph in last night’s bush tucker trial.

The boxer lost his nerve on Monday night after finding himself handling a snake - leaving his camp mates with just rice and beans to survive on.

But he showed the mettle of a true champion to come back fighting and succeed last night’s challenge, called Flushed Out.

Locked in a tank slowly filling with water, he had to open a series of boxes guarded by a a variety of water based jungle critters - including eels, crayfish and yabbies.

He escaped with seconds to spare - winning food for his five camp mates.

An elated Amir said: “It was exciting, it was challenging. It was very very hard but we’ve already got five guaranteed meals and I‘ve got one extra one for my team. It makes me very happy today. I’m very proud of myself.”
