A WOBBLY manhole cover that has been plaguing residents for months is being repaired.
After The Bolton News reported on the misery suffered by neighbours in Bradshaw Brow due to the loud noise from the faulty manhole cover every time a car drives over it, Virgin Media engineers have finally been out to the site. Hundreds of cars travel down the busy road towards Bolton town centre and Canon Slade School every day.
Resident Edward Corley said: “They have put a temporary layer of asphalt over it for now and that has stopped the banging.
“And the engineers have said that they will come back quickly to repair it properly.
“This has been going on for weeks and weeks without anything being done, so we are glad something is finally being done.”
