REGARDED by many as the most influential preacher of the 20th century, Billy Graham once brought his message to the masses in Bolton.
Mr Graham, who died today at the age of 99, visited Bolton Wamderers’ former ground at Burnden Park during a nationwide tour in 1961.
Hundreds attended the event to hear the world-famous evangelist preach.
According to one eyewitness, all the floral decorations used for the occasion were later laid out in front of the ground for people to rake.
