STAFF and customers celebrated as they threw open the doors of a new homeware store at Middlebrook Retail Park.

Homesense Bolton launched its new unit at the Horwich centre to a crowd of shoppers yesterday morning.

As well as carrying out the customary ribbon cutting, store manager Lauren Dimmock presented gifts to the very first customers Sharron Browitt and Julie Hughes.

A Homesense spokesperson said: “We are delighted to finally open our doors to the shoppers of Bolton.

"We greeted excited shoppers this morning as they headed in to discover the unique homeware finds on offer.

"Our rapidly changing assortments create a treasure trove shopping experience that our customers love and we are so excited to share it with Bolton.

"We encourage shoppers to stop by often to find eclectic and branded homeware, always at amazing value.

"So, if you love TK Maxx, you will adore Homesense.”

The new store will offer gourmet cookware, furniture, lighting and decorative items, bedding and bathroom accessories, along with gifts and seasonal décor.

It is the first of two openings at the retail park to take place this year with Next planning to launch in the summer.
