A YOUNG schoolboy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Westhoughton.
The boy, aged 13, suffered minor injuries after the collision on Chequerbent roundabout on Tuesday afternoon.
A police spokesman said: "We were called just before 3.50pm on Tuesday to reports that a car had hit a child.
"He was taken to hospital with minor injuries. His injuries are not life-threatening."
