HOW Bolton town centre has changed is a major topic of conversation today.
So when we spotted these photographs in our archives we thought you might enjoy taking a look at them.
One shows a yard at the back of Bradshawgate in 1965.
This was Bolling’s Yard which had originally been a corn mill and in disuse since the retirement of owner Robert Winder.
The other image is an interesting aerial view of the town centre which shows the bus station before its relocation to the smart next exchange.
This was also taken in 1965 and Moor Lane Bus Station is clearly visible behind the beautiful architecture of Le Mans Crescent which can be seen in all its glory. Both pictures will undoubtedly bring back memories for our readers who have lived in Bolton all their lives and seen changes.
