A CHARITY caring for abandoned cats and kittens is appealing for potential owners to come forward — after it had to close its phonelines because it has so little room.
Bolton And Bury Cat Rescue has seen a dramatic rise in the number of unwanted animals in recent months and a sharp drop in inquiries from new adopters.
They are now asking people to consider caring for a cat, such as Amber, pictured.
Chairman, Vivienne Davies, said: “I have been involved in cat welfare organisations for a number of years and this has been the most difficult few months. Daily we are inundated with requests to take in more cats and kittens and have had to take the decision to close our phone line while we focus our limited volunteer resources on caring and trying to rehome the cats and kittens in our care.”
To adopt a cat or make a donation, go to boltonandburycatrescue.co.uk or email meow@boltonandburycatrescue.co.uk.
Anyone wishing to find out more about the charity can attend its next meeting at 7.30pm on Tuesday at the Sparking Clog, in Radcliffe Moor Road, Radcliffe.
