COMPANIES in North Manchester will have an ideal chance to promote their business in October when The Business Show 2008 rolls into town.

More than 130 companies in the area will get an opportunity to network and display their businesses to each other at the show in the Bolton Arena on October 23.

A special networking event including champagne and canapés will be held the day before the main event and will involve all standholders.

The show is being co-organised by The Bolton News and Moorish Idol Marketing with the aim of providing a forum for business development.

Gary Lovatt, managing director of Moorish Idol, said: "North Manchester has become a hub of business activity in recent years and we felt the region's businesses deserved this opportunity to showcase the range of talent on offer north of the city centre.

"We are delighted to be partnering The Bolton News which instantly shared our vision for adding this show to the Bolton and Bury Business Awards and the various other events it successfully organises."

Ian Savage, editor of The Bolton News, said: "Business is the lifeblood of our region and it is thanks to all the hard work done by companies of all sizes - from the huge organisations to the one-man-band' - that the area is now seen as a prime location to do business.

"Bolton is undergoing exciting regeneration, with significant investments being made to secure jobs - and a prosperous future for generations to come.

"I hope people get behind the event and celebrate our great future as an ever-growing, and vibrant, business community."

Waring and Co solicitors, based in Bradshawgate, Bolton, is sponsoring the show and taking a big stand.

Oliver Jones, business relations manager at the firm, said: "It's a great opportunity to get in front of other businesses, we are quite commercially orientated and it's a chance to show people what we are about. We will have a drink, a catch up and do business in the Bolton community."

Paul Bartle, managing director of event hosts Bolton Arena, said: "We are delighted to be partnering up with The Bolton News for what will be Bolton's premier business exhibition.

"It will be a fantastic event in its own right and a great opportunity to showcase our 5,000 square metres of conference and exhibition facilities."

Exhibitors already booked for the show include Kippax Beaumont Lewis Solicitors, RRG Toyota, Egerton House Hotel, The University of Bolton, Positive IT Solutions and printing.com.

Stand prices start at £700 plus VAT, making the exhibition accessible to smaller businesses and start-ups as well as the bigger businesses from across Bolton, Bury, Wigan, Rochdale and Oldham.

A VIP breakfast will be included to give early arrivals an opportunity to meet fellow exhibitors.

The exhibitor package includes a 2.44m stand, a company name board and the option for your own branded floor coverings.

Exhibitor businesses websites will be added to the Business Show website and published in promotion material.
