Twenty20 must not replace the traditional game

MY piece last week about the onward march of Twenty20 cricket was cut to fit the available space and ended on a note which suggested I am now a convert.

That's not the case - I much prefer Test, county and one-day cricket.

I will tolerate an English Twenty20 league if "Lancashire" is not re-branded as "Manchester" and if the new format brings in sufficient money to support the more traditional and better versions of a great sport.
