Now, Lord Laidlaw - who is worth about £730 million - admits that he has spent thousands on orgies with prostitutes and says that he has "suffered" with sex addiction for decades.
I don't buy that. It sounds much more the story of a man who can afford to give in to his own feelings in a lifetime of self-indulgence.
Don't bother trying to make it sound like a medical condition, it's an entirely human one.
