MOST people probably wouldn't normally rush to defend the moral rights of car salesmen, but the way that rogue traders have been stealing their living is a disgrace.
It is not only a nuisance for residents and motorists, but also hits legitimate traders who pay taxes and other high costs to keep within the law.
And on a purely practical level, surely buying from someone whose only identification is a mobile telephone number is asking for long-term problems.
