MADONNA Louise Ciccone Ritchie is becoming a hard act for middle-aged mums everywhere to follow.
It's not just that Madonna has managed to maintain phenomenal success over several decades in the pop world - arguably one of the hardest entertainment areas for longevity - or that she's just created new milestones with her hit record Four Minutes taken from her 10th chart-topping album, Hard Candy.
It's not even that she's managed to ride out every trend from tough-talking feminist to Laura Ashley-wearing hippy, with suitable musical hits for each phase. Or even that she's enjoyed a couple of successful films, notably the lead in "Evita." No. What's currently bugging many women of a variety of ages over 25 is that the woman at almost 50 looks so damn good that it makes the rest of us look bad.

Of course, not everyone has a personal trainer, a handy gym and the time and money to train there to destruction for long hours every day. But, more annoyingly, most of us can't be bothered doing that anyway.
I'm still scrutinising her for a reassuring trace of cellulose, some well-placed wrinkles or, at the very least, a slightly saggy something.
No way! Madonna is an absolute *mess* these days. I suggest you avoid looking at the photoshopped promo photos and take a look at the candid shots. She's definitely looking her age.
