MY daughter wasn't herself on Tuesday morning.
"What's up Elizabeth?" I asked my trembling 13-year-old.
"I'm nervous about my SATS," she said before we set off for Canon Slade and her first Key Stage Three test in maths, adding: "It's a very pressurable time." (I'm not sure how she's going to go on in her English).
You've got to feel for kids when exam time comes around because they are always being told how important it is to get good marks.
And, contrary to popular belief, there are far more of them out there who want to do well at school than there are wasters.
With the Key Stage Two SATS, GCSEs and A-levels all coming up, exam time is well and truly upon us.
So if your child isn't himself or herself in the next few weeks, go easy on them - it's a very pressurable time you know.
