Overseas students have ranked the University of Bolton as one of the best in Britain for learning.
According to a survey by research service i-graduate, the students believe Bolton is better even than Oxford and Cambridge.
Students were asked to rank lecturers, assessments, the use of academic English and employability in the survey of 85 universities. The online questionnaire used a points-based system and Bolton students rated their university as having the best student advisory service. They also ranked services such as IT support, halls of residence, welfare and catering within the country's top 10.

International students said the university offered good preparation for employment after graduating as well as having helpful staff.
The university takes in international students from 70 countries and the university says they are a vital part of its growth.
One Nigerian student commented: "The institution is a caring and listening one. The university seeks students' views on how to improve service and enhance the quality of the learning environment, including facilities."
The university's vice-chancellor, Dr George Holmes, said: "It is pleasing to see how highly valued we are by our international students. Our goal is to give them the qualifications they need to work in the profession of their choice."

The University of Bolton should be commended. It's fine for people to knock it but this is a great acheivement for the management and staff at the Uni. The Uni offers quality programmes in a range of discipines. I have always been impressed by the courses on offer there. My daughter recently graduated from there and she says it is a centre for excellence in a range of topics.
