Vehicle blaze closes two lanes on M61
A LORRY fire closed two lanes and caused morning rush hour delays on the M61.
Two lanes were closed on the M61 near Middlebrook due to the fire.
The fire service has now safely extinguished the fire and all lanes are now open again.
Lanes one and two were closed with the lorry on the hard shoulder.
There was heavy smoke blowing across the carriageway which was affecting visibility southbound as well.
Traffic was slow in the area but is now said to be flowing again.
