Mayor opens new bookmakers shop

A LUCKY leprechaun joined the Mayor of Bolton to open a new bookmakers in Bolton.
Cllr Anthony Connell opened the Ladbrokes shop in Deane, which has moved from the Derby Shopping Centre to Deane Road, and he was joined by relief manager Dale Wright, who dressed up for the occasion.
The mayor was given £100 to bet with — any winnings were to go to local organisations.
Unfortunately, his horse, Night Of Fortune, was pipped at the post by Champagne in the 2.45pm race at Southwell on Monday.
