A SPONSORED three-legged race and pub-crawl is taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend to raise cash for charity.
Five pubs are supporting the event in Bromley Cross and Egerton on Sunday, August 24 It is being held to raise cash for a mercy mission to West Africa.
Sammie Banks, aged 19, of Torra Barn Close, Egerton, is one of six volunteers from Bolton who will be flying to a small village in Benin, for four weeks in February.
International charity Hands Around The World, is sending the volunteers to help local villagers rebuild their school after the last building was demolished by flood.
The race begins at the Flag Inn, in Hardmans Lane, Bromley Cross, at 1pm.
