Pub smoker throws glass at manager

A SMOKER who threw a drinking glass at a pub manager has been arrested.

The 43-year-old man was smoking inside Yates’ Wine Lodge in Bradshawgate in the town centre this afternoon when he was asked to leave the pub.

But the man became verbally abusive towards a female deputy manager and threw a drinking glass at her.

A statement released by police said: “Shortly after 4.15pm, police were called to a pub in Bradshawgate, Bolton, following reports of a disturbance.

“Officers attended and arrested a 43-year-old man on suspicion of public order offences.”
