POLICE collected more than £2,000 in unpaid court fines during a blitz on crime and anti-social behaviour in Bolton.
Residents in The Haulgh were invited to help highlight issues of concern as part of neighbourhood policing day yesterday.
In the morning police, council officers and bailiffs concentrated on collecting unpaid court fines from convicted offenders. In the afternoon, Haulgh Community Partnership members went out on a community walk, led by police officers and Police Community Support Officers.

The walk allowed residents to share their views about policing priorities and point out troublespots or areas plagued by graffiti and vandalism.
Insp Ian Parker said: "The day was about blitzing one area in an attempt to identify the problems concerning residents and to enable us to draw up a plan of how best to deal with their concerns. The information we gather will help us plan our operations for the next 12 months."
He added: "By working with residents and dedicating resources, we can help to eradicate their problems."
Activities throughout the day included cleaning up graffiti and removing fly-tipping, litter and other waste.
A surgery will be set up, giving people the opportunity to hear what results came from the exercise and the chance to report any issues to local officers.
